Does SolFoundry lock liquidity?
SolFoundry at a glance
- Launch model
- Direct launch with no bonding curve and no graduation. The token is minted first; the creator seeds the pool in a separate step on /liquidity-lock.
- Destination DEX
- Meteora DAMM v2 (program cpamdpZCGKUy5JxQXB4dcpGPiikHawvSWAd6mEn1sGG). Raydium CPMM is also offered on /liquidity-lock.
- Liquidity after pool creation
- Meteora position permanently locked at creation, with no unlock date. On a Raydium CPMM pool the LP tokens are burned instead.
- Trading fees
- The Meteora position keeps earning, and its holder can claim those fees. SolFoundry takes no share of them.
- Anti-sniper
- Optional on Meteora pools: a fee schedule that starts high and decays exponentially, with Light, Standard and Aggressive presets. Free for tokens launched on SolFoundry.
- Authorities
- Mint, freeze and metadata authorities are revoked by default. Advanced Launch lets a creator keep them, so check each token.
- Fees
- Quick Launch 0.20 SOL, Advanced Launch 0.30 SOL, plus network costs. Locking is free for tokens launched here and 0.15 SOL for other tokens. The first 100 launches pay no platform fee while Early Supporter slots remain.
What "locked" means on SolFoundry
SolFoundry creates the pool with Meteora's permanent lock turned on, so the liquidity is locked from the moment the pool exists. There is no time lock to expire and no later step that could be skipped.
A permanent lock differs from burned LP on who earns. Burned LP earns fees for nobody, while a locked Meteora position keeps earning and the creator can claim those fees without being able to touch the liquidity.
What the lock does not cover
- A token with no pool yet. Launching and creating the pool are separate steps, so check that a pool exists.
- A pool created somewhere else. A creator can add liquidity directly on a DEX, and that pool has only the protection its creator chose.
- Creator selling. A creator who holds a large share of supply can still sell it into the pool.
- Price. A locked pool keeps the liquidity in place; it does not keep the price up.
Who it suits
A bonding-curve launchpad suits a creator who wants to start with no liquidity and reach an existing trading audience. SolFoundry suits a creator who is ready to seed a pool from day one and wants that liquidity locked immediately. It charges a launch fee up front and has a much smaller audience than the largest launchpads.
How to verify it yourself
Don't take this page's word for it, or the launchpad's. Everything below is readable on-chain in a couple of minutes.
- 1Open the mint on Solscan. Mint Authority and Freeze Authority should read none. Advanced Launch can keep them, so check rather than assume.
- 2In the Markets tab, find the pool. A Meteora pool should be owned by program cpamdpZCGKUy5JxQXB4dcpGPiikHawvSWAd6mEn1sGG.
- 3Open the pool's position account. Its permanently locked liquidity should match the position's liquidity.
- 4Or paste the mint into Rug Check at solfoundry.io/rug-check, which reads the pool, its lock and the authorities from chain.
FAQ
Can a SolFoundry creator withdraw the locked liquidity?
No, not from a Meteora pool created through SolFoundry. The position is permanently locked when the pool is created. The creator can claim trading fees and can still sell any tokens they hold, which moves the price without removing the pool.
Is every SolFoundry token permanently locked?
No. The lock applies to pools created through SolFoundry. A token with no pool yet, or one whose creator added liquidity directly on a DEX, does not have it. Check the pool for each token.
Does SolFoundry take a share of trading fees?
No. SolFoundry charges a launch fee of 0.20 or 0.30 SOL up front and takes no share of the trading fees the locked position earns. Meteora's own protocol fee still applies.
Is launching on SolFoundry free?
Only for the first 100 launches, while Early Supporter slots remain. One slot per wallet, claimed by quoting the pinned @SolFoundryio tweet, and network costs and pool liquidity are still paid by the creator.
Checking a specific SolFoundry token?
Paste its mint address into our free Rug Check. It reads mint, freeze and metadata authorities, liquidity depth and holder concentration straight from chain, for any Solana token regardless of where it launched.
