Does Raydium LaunchLab lock liquidity?
Raydium LaunchLab at a glance
- Program
- LaunchLab LanMV9sAd7wArD4vJFi2qDdfnVhFxYSUg6eADduJ3uj. Upgraded 17 August 2026. Source code is not public; verify behaviour against the IDL and on-chain data.
- Launch model
- Bonding curve. Graduates as soon as the quote vault balance reaches the quote reserve target; the first transaction past the threshold triggers migration and can come from any user.
- Destination DEX
- Raydium CPMM only for new launches (migrate_type 1). Legacy AMM v4 graduations predate August 2026.
- Liquidity after graduation
- burn_scale is burned with no Fee Key. platform_scale plus creator_scale is locked via LP-Lock as one platform-owned position with a Fee Key NFT. Principal is never withdrawable.
- Supply vesting (separate from LP)
- Optional linear vesting of token supply, set before launch and unchangeable afterwards. Any locked amount left unallocated is permanently stuck.
- Authorities
- Mint authority revoked at migration. Freeze authority is never set. Metadata mutability not documented.
- Fees
- Curve fee configurable within caps (platform up to 1.00%, creator up to 0.50%); docs example 1% split 60/20/20 across LP, creator and protocol. Post-graduation CPMM typically the 0.25% tier. Creation costs roughly 0.1 to 0.5 SOL in rent.
Three scales decide what happens to the LP
Every platform building on LaunchLab (Bonk.fun is the largest) sets three numbers that sum to one million: platform_scale, creator_scale and burn_scale. At migration the program mints LP for the new CPMM pool and divides it by those scales. The burn share is destroyed on the spot. The other two are deposited into the LP-Lock program and represented by a Fee Key NFT. Holding the NFT means collecting that position's trading fees; it does not grant any way to remove the underlying tokens.
Since the August 2026 upgrade the platform and creator shares are locked together under the platform's Fee Key. A creator's ongoing revenue comes from CPMM creator fees, and only while they remain the recorded pool creator.
Where the risk actually lives
- Token supply, not the pool. A creator with a large unvested allocation can sell into the pool. LaunchLab's optional vesting is the tool for that; it is off by default.
- Pre-graduation, SOL sits in the curve vault owned by the program. There is no LP to pull.
- Fake programs. Raydium warns that program IDs in the wild may not be its own. Compare against the published address table before trusting a pool.
How to verify it yourself
Don't take this page's word for it, or the launchpad's. Everything below is readable on-chain in a couple of minutes.
- 1Confirm the curve account is owned by LanMV9sAd7wArD4vJFi2qDdfnVhFxYSUg6eADduJ3uj and note which platform config it references.
- 2After graduation, open the CPMM pool (program CPMMoo8L3F4NbTegBCKVNunggL7H1ZpdTHKxQB5qKP1C) and its LP mint.
- 3In the migration transaction, read the Burn instruction amount (burned share) and the LP transferred to LockrWmn6K5twhz3y9w1dQERbmgSaRkfnTeTKbpofwE (locked share). They should sum to the full LP supply.
- 4Check the mint: Mint Authority none, Freeze Authority none.
- 5Validate all four program IDs against docs.raydium.io/reference/program-addresses.
FAQ
Can a LaunchLab creator withdraw liquidity after graduation?
No. The burned share is irrecoverable and the locked share sits in a program with no withdraw instruction. The Fee Key NFT only claims trading fees.
Who holds the Fee Key NFT?
Since 17 August 2026, the platform that configured the launch. Creators earn post-graduation revenue through CPMM creator fees instead of a separate Fee Key.
Does LaunchLab lock token supply too?
Only if the platform or creator enables vesting before launch. Vesting releases supply linearly on a fixed schedule and cannot be edited afterwards; it is independent from the LP lock.
Checking a specific Raydium LaunchLab token?
Paste its mint address into our free Rug Check. It reads mint, freeze and metadata authorities, liquidity depth and holder concentration straight from chain, for any Solana token regardless of where it launched.
Launching your own? SolFoundry seeds a Meteora DAMM v2 pool and permanently locks 100% of the position in the same flow, with mint and freeze authorities revoked and an anti-sniper fee schedule on the pool. Details on Liquidity Lock and what to look for in a launchpad.
