Does Bonk.fun lock liquidity?
Bonk.fun (LetsBonk) at a glance
- Launch model
- Raydium LaunchLab bonding curve under the Bonk.fun platform config (FfYek5vEz23cMkWsdJwG2oa6EphsvXSHrGpdALN4g6W1). Graduates automatically at 85 SOL in the quote vault.
- Destination DEX
- Raydium CPMM (CPMMoo8L3F4NbTegBCKVNunggL7H1ZpdTHKxQB5qKP1C). Mandatory for all new launches since the 17 August 2026 LaunchLab upgrade.
- Liquidity after graduation
- LaunchLab splits migrated LP into a burn share (permanent, no fee key) and a platform/creator share locked through Raydium LP-Lock with a Fee Key NFT that earns fees but cannot withdraw principal.
- Bonk.fun's split
- Not published in any official document we found. Secondary sources describe the LP as burned. Verify per token in the migration transaction.
- Authorities
- LaunchLab revokes the mint authority at migration and never sets a freeze authority (Raydium docs). Metadata mutability not documented.
- Fees
- Curve trading fee 1% (Raydium caps platform at 1.00% and creator at 0.50%). Bonk.fun's "BONK Classic" launches advertise 0.30% with no creator fee; the "BONKERS" option keeps creator fees. Post-graduation CPMM pools typically 0.25%.
- Mint address
- Commonly ends in "bonk" when created through popular tooling. Not a guarantee; identify by LaunchLab program plus platform config.
Two kinds of "locked" in one pool
Raydium LaunchLab lets each platform decide what happens to the LP at graduation through three scales that add up to 100%: a burn scale, a platform scale and a creator scale. The burn share is burned outright. Since the 17 August 2026 upgrade the platform and creator shares are combined into a single position locked in Raydium's LP-Lock program and represented by a Fee Key NFT held by the platform. That NFT collects trading fees forever; it has no function to remove liquidity.
For a buyer the two outcomes are equivalent on the question that matters: the SOL in the pool cannot be withdrawn by anyone. They differ on who earns the LP fees (nobody for the burned share, the platform for the locked share).
What Bonk.fun itself has published
Bonk.fun has no standalone technical documentation; its mechanics are Raydium LaunchLab's. Its own announcements focus on fee routing: historically 1% split between the platform, BONKsol validators and BONK buyback-and-burn, and in 2026 a "BONK Classic" tier with no creator fee at 0.30%. The burn-versus-lock proportion for Bonk.fun launches is not stated anywhere official, which is why the verification steps below read it from chain instead of from a claim.
What the lock does not cover
- Creator selling token supply. The lock is about the pool, not about who holds the tokens.
- Pre-graduation coins: SOL sits in the LaunchLab curve vault and there is no LP to pull. Graduation can be triggered by any user once the threshold is crossed.
- Raydium's June 2026 exploit hit five deprecated legacy pools inactive since 2021. LaunchLab and CPMM were not affected, and Raydium refunded from treasury.
How to verify it yourself
Don't take this page's word for it, or the launchpad's. Everything below is readable on-chain in a couple of minutes.
- 1Open the mint on Solscan. Mint Authority should be none and Freeze Authority none.
- 2Find the CPMM pool. The pool account should be owned by CPMMoo8L3F4NbTegBCKVNunggL7H1ZpdTHKxQB5qKP1C.
- 3Open the graduation transaction (instruction migrate_to_cpswap). Burn instructions on the LP mint are the burned share; LP tokens transferred to LockrWmn6K5twhz3y9w1dQERbmgSaRkfnTeTKbpofwE plus a Fee Key NFT mint are the locked share.
- 4Add the two shares. Together they should account for the whole LP supply; any LP left in a normal wallet is unlocked.
- 5Cross-check every program address against Raydium's published list at docs.raydium.io/reference/program-addresses. Raydium's own advice: if an ID does not match, do not sign.
FAQ
Is Bonk.fun liquidity burned or locked?
Both are possible under LaunchLab and the split is set by the platform config. The burned share is gone for good; the locked share sits in Raydium LP-Lock and only its fees can be claimed. Bonk.fun does not publish its split, so check the migration transaction for the token you care about.
Can Bonk.fun or the creator withdraw the pool after graduation?
No. Burned LP cannot be redeemed, and the LP-Lock program has no instruction to remove liquidity; its Fee Key NFT only collects fees.
What does the August 2026 LaunchLab upgrade change for Bonk.fun tokens?
New launches graduate only to Raydium CPMM (the legacy AMM v4 path is deprecated), and the platform and creator LP shares are locked as a single platform-owned position. Creators earn post-graduation revenue through CPMM creator fees rather than a separate Fee Key.
Does a "bonk" suffix prove the token launched on Bonk.fun?
No. Suffixes are vanity keypairs that any launch tool can grind. The reliable check is that the bonding-curve account is owned by the LaunchLab program and references the Bonk.fun platform config.
Checking a specific Bonk.fun (LetsBonk) token?
Paste its mint address into our free Rug Check. It reads mint, freeze and metadata authorities, liquidity depth and holder concentration straight from chain, for any Solana token regardless of where it launched.
Launching your own? SolFoundry seeds a Meteora DAMM v2 pool and permanently locks 100% of the position in the same flow, with mint and freeze authorities revoked and an anti-sniper fee schedule on the pool. Details on Liquidity Lock and what to look for in a launchpad.
