Does Bags lock liquidity?
Bags at a glance
- Launch model
- Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve (dbcij3LWUppWqq96dh6gJWwBifmcGfLSB5D4DuSMaqN) created through Bags' creator program BAGSB9TpGrZxQbEsrEznv5jXXdwyP6AXerN8aVRiAmcv. Graduation around 85 SOL for most configs (80 to 100 SOL for others). Bags also offers direct DAMM v2 launches with no curve.
- Destination DEX
- Meteora DAMM v2 (cpamdpZCGKUy5JxQXB4dcpGPiikHawvSWAd6mEn1sGG).
- Liquidity after graduation
- Meteora DBC splits migrated liquidity into partner and creator buckets, each configurable as unlocked, permanently locked or vesting. Minimum 10% must stay locked at day one. Meteora charges a 0.2% migration fee.
- Bags' locked share
- Not published in the Bags docs we found. Config names like "85% Locked" refer to token supply, not LP. Check each pool.
- Fee sharing
- Creators and up to 100 fee claimers earn trading fees from the locked position without removing liquidity, via Meteora Fee Share V2. Default 2% fee pre- and post-migration; post-migration 0.75% protocol, 0.75% claimers, 0.5% compounding into the pool.
- Authorities
- Not stated in the Bags documentation. Verify per token on Solscan.
- Mint address
- Often ends in "BAGS" (docs example CyXBDcVQuHyEDbG661Jf3iHqxyd9wNHhE2SiQdNrBAGS). Not a documented rule.
Why "locked" is a percentage on Meteora
DAMM v2 does not use LP tokens; it uses position NFTs. A position can hold liquidity in three states: unlocked, vesting, or permanently locked. Meteora's bonding-curve product lets the launch platform decide the mix for the partner and creator buckets at migration, with a hard floor of 10% permanently locked. Bags is one such platform. A Bags pool can therefore be 100% permanently locked, or 10%, or anything between, depending on the config the token was created with.
Meteora itself recommends reading lock status from its own pool page rather than trusting third-party badges. That is also where the June 2025 incident surfaced: some DAMM v2 pools shown as locked turned out to have unlocked liquidity, and Meteora worked with DEX Screener to correct the display.
What the Bags fee model does and does not do
- It lets the deployer and named claimers collect fees from the locked position. Collecting fees never reduces the locked liquidity.
- It does not stop a creator from selling token supply. Lock status is about the pool.
- Before graduation the quote token sits in the DBC pool vault and there is no DAMM position to unlock.
How to verify it yourself
Don't take this page's word for it, or the launchpad's. Everything below is readable on-chain in a couple of minutes.
- 1Pre-graduation: confirm the pool account is owned by dbcij3LWUppWqq96dh6gJWwBifmcGfLSB5D4DuSMaqN and was created via BAGSB9TpGrZxQbEsrEznv5jXXdwyP6AXerN8aVRiAmcv.
- 2Post-graduation: confirm the pool is owned by cpamdpZCGKUy5JxQXB4dcpGPiikHawvSWAd6mEn1sGG (DAMM v2).
- 3Open the pool at meteora.ag/dammv2/<pool address> and read the lock badge. "100% permanently locked" is the only value that means nothing can be withdrawn.
- 4On-chain, inspect the position accounts for the pool and compare permanent_locked_liquidity against unlocked_liquidity.
- 5Check the mint on Solscan: Mint Authority none, Freeze Authority none.
FAQ
Is a Bags token's liquidity 100% locked?
Sometimes. Meteora requires at least 10% permanently locked and allows up to 100%; the actual figure depends on the configuration Bags used for that launch and is not published. The Meteora pool page shows the real number.
Can fee claimers on Bags remove liquidity?
No. Fee Share V2 distributes accrued trading fees from the position. Claiming fees leaves the locked liquidity untouched.
What is the difference between "85% Locked" in a Bags config and locked liquidity?
The percentage in config names refers to the share of token supply locked on the curve, not to the LP in the pool after migration. They are separate settings.
Checking a specific Bags token?
Paste its mint address into our free Rug Check. It reads mint, freeze and metadata authorities, liquidity depth and holder concentration straight from chain, for any Solana token regardless of where it launched.
Launching your own? SolFoundry seeds a Meteora DAMM v2 pool and permanently locks 100% of the position in the same flow, with mint and freeze authorities revoked and an anti-sniper fee schedule on the pool. Details on Liquidity Lock and what to look for in a launchpad.
